Are Gingers Misunderstood?
Monday, December 21, 2009
Apparently there is a new group of people to discriminate against and ridicule: Red Heads aka: Gingers. There is even such a thing as "Kick a Ginger Day" well at least there is over in England. Thats where this card is from. It was pulled off the shelfs in drugstores, because the Federation to Protect Gingers Great and Small, threatened to lay the smack down in court.
Do you think the card is funny?

I like gingers, I am not going to lie. They are often funny - maybe it is one of those things that comes with being born with something that automatically gives others material that makes "gingers" or "carrot tops" a little more wacky - but I think they are fun to be around.
I find it surprising that English people are worried about hair color when they have ridiculous teeth and and no chin, but it seems like it might be something that goes back in time racial discrimination with the Irish...which makes it even seem more awful and ludicrous.
About this particular card...I would have pulled it off the shelf too - but for the following additional reasons:
Santa is sporting moose knuckles, looks like he should not be around little children (regardless of hair color) and his chosen hand placement is just down right disturbing.
If you want a good laugh watch the South Park episode about Gingers haha
I didn't even notice the moose knuckles. Sick.
The baby is cute.
I thought the card was funny, but after pointing out how gross Santa is, that's just wrong. WRONG!
