Spanking~

So Kate got caught spanking one of her bazillion kids and now the world is ending.
I'm not a spanker. Its just not in my arsenal. Why? Because I recall getting spanked, and you know what? It taught me how to hate, fantasize about my own death to pay them back, and learn to be a better liar. A few lessons that I would rather my kids didn't learn. There are people (mmmhmmm my brother) who think that kids should get beat all the time because it teaches them how to behave. Interestingly he has no kids.
I really don't think its a huge deal if people choose to spank their kids. I mean there is an entire generation of people that were spanked as children and ended up fine. Whoopin a kids ass will land you in jail now days. Kids are savvy they will call CPS or the Paps on your ass. Do you know where Kate's other 7 kids are in this picture? Calling the paparazzi.
To be honest if I had the combination of her hair, 8 kids, and a husband that hit the high road I might feel violent myself.
Anyway, the debates on. To spank or not to spank....
Its all we are going to hear about for days.

Damn straight I say whoop thier little asses! It's a parents right as long as its not excessive. Why would a kid listen if there are no consequences if they don't? No reason to, I wouldn't.
Sam, I agree. Kids, if you intentionally act up, you get spanked. If you choose to be a good kid, you get ice cream. The choice is yours.
Spank. That's why you have all these disprectful kids now a days...their parents gave them time outs. They need tougher consequences.
I think it depends on the kid. I was mostly threatened with the spank as a kid. The fact that a spank was hovering in the possibilities was enough to make me behave. My brother on the other hand, thought being spanked got the punishment over with fast and was a better option then being grounded. I am not in spanking kids but I don't think you should be jailed or have your kids taken away if you do spank.
Spank, and spank like you mean it. My mom used a wooden spoon with a hole in it. Trust me, my decisions were made based on whether or not that spoon would make contact with my ass.
